How did you find out about the eda?
I attended the HBCU/ALL College Baseball showcase camp and heard about it there. Edward Chip Lawrence told me more about it, and then I met Coach Derek Del Rosal, who told me even more about the program.
WHAT DOES THE EDA OPPORTUNITY MEAN TO YOU?
I am thankful to be chosen for this scholarship. This gives me another option toward playing baseball in college. This is not an easy scholarship to get, and I understand that a lot of other players deserve this chance as well. I am delighted to get this shot. THANK YOU!
Share a little bit about your background...
I live in Lake Mary, but I have a lot of family in Tampa/Clearwater and in The Bahamas. I love to visit both places, and I love to hang out with my family. I have an early birthday for school, so I was always the youngest in my class and the youngest on my baseball teams. My Dad always played me up one age group in baseball because he always wanted me to play with my graduating class and not with my age group.
tell us one fun fact about yourself...
I love to fish, but it seems like I spend more time rigging up my reel and rod instead of having it in the water catching fish. I have an uncle who played football for the Florida Gators and the Indianapolis Colts—all of his Gators equipment and college recruitment letters were all over my grandmother's house in Clearwater.
What career would you like to do?
I want to be a baseball player. I also like marine life. I would love to work around the ocean.
