My name is Treydric Barnes. I am 6’4, weighing in at 181 lbs. I am 15 years old. I am a sophomore at Taylorsville High School in Taylorsville, MS. I am a football team member and I am a WR/QB. I am also a member of the basketball team as a point guard and shooting guard. Lastly, I am a member of the baseball team as a left fielder, 1st base, and pitcher. In my spare time, I love going to church, spending time with my family, playing baseball, basketball, and football, listening to music, and playing PS5.

How did you find out about the eda?
I was invited to attend the EDA Combine program by the New Orleans Youth Academy.
WHAT DOES THE EDA OPPORTUNITY MEAN TO YOU?
It would mean a lot to me to continue to do what I love at no cost to my mom. She has sacrificed a lot for me to make my dreams a reality. I want to be a role model to all the younger kids coming behind me.
Share a little bit about your background...
I have overcome being raised in a single-parent home. My mom is a basketball coach/teacher. She sacrifices a lot so that I can travel all over to help me towards my goals. I had a knee injury and had to be out for a while, but I worked hard to recover. After coming back, I been having an impressive year. For me, that’s a lot to be thankful for and overcome.

I love spicy foods!
What career would you like to do?
Professional baseball player.
